We are UK Based Organization looking for Service Provider for our requirement. The Project will include a new displacement lock on the Forth and Clyde Canal featuring two major sculptures based on the Kelpie legend. Our organization Council intends to appoint a firm of consultants to provide the engineering design of the sculptures including all engineering aspects of the structure, operational mechanism, services, supervision of fabrication and erection. A close liaison with the artist, foundation design engineers and fabricators will be required.

We require the detailed design and production of drawings for the Kelpie structures including steel frame, cladding plates, bird protection, lifting/pivot mechanisms, floating pontoons, new canal water supply connection to existing lock from Kelpie displacement tanks, all services (including inter alia mechanical and electrical services for operation of Kelpies, sustainable power generation, and supporting services including lightning protection, alarms and all controls), public access to inside of Kelpie structures and access to comply with CDM requirements. Engineering supervision for off site fabrication and site erection. Technical liaison with artist, foundation design engineers and fabricators. An Organization wishes to work with organizations capable of understanding and delivering opportunities that actively support local people in accessing employment and training. The firm or consultant may need to work onsite to study and implement design.
